That's really disgusting.. :-/
But on a slightly funnier (and possibly also disgusting note)...

When a golfer trying to hit a ball out of the rough struck a rock with his club, it started a fire which burned across 12 acres in California.

This is ridiculous
Talk about being harsh and cruel. From what I know about flogging, most people don't survive flogging. I'd say that was more than enough punishment for adultery. If her husband died, then why would it matter who she saw after he was dead? Its blown way out of proportion.
(Side note)
Also, I didn't realize while reading the article but I apologize for the stupid perverted and explicit ads on the side of the page. However, some of you may like the ads....>_>...>_< I for one do not. This is one thing I like about FireFox. I can block(stupid explicit and wasteful) ads on sites that I frequent.

I think that's a bit harsh, the RAC aren't that bad.
It's Iran. They seem to have a distinct hatred for anything remotely resembling civil rights. Stuck in the Very Very Dark Ages they are.

People can survive flogging, 60 lashes an Adult Male can handle, don't know about 100.
At least that's what the normal figures were back then.

DJ... I hope you didn't confuse flogging (whipping) with stoning...
Your comment was toward the Iranian women who was going to be condemned to a stoning because she didn't wear her shawl, yes?
EDIT: Woops, didn't see the lashing part. nvm

Report: Castro blasts Ahmadinejad as anti-Semitic
Okay, as for the actual article, I didn't really care for that much. However, one little sentence in there made me lol.

Firefighters let home burn
What if there were people trapped in their house? I guess the firefighters would just stand and watch. Poor pets!
Firefighters in rural Tennessee let a home burn to the ground last week because the homeowner hadn't paid a $75 fee.
Gene Cranick of Obion County and his family lost all of their possessions in the Sept. 29 fire, along with three dogs and a cat.
"They could have been saved if they had put water on it, but they didn't do it,"
Firefighters did eventually show up, but only to fight the fire on the neighboring property, whose owner had paid the fee.

Justin Bieber Wants Teen Girls to Leave Him Alone
Change yo name, fool! rofl
A 35-year-old Jacksonville, FL, resident named Justin Bieber is being mistaken for the 16-year-old pop star of the same name, and he's not happy about it.
Bieber estimates he receives 50 messages every two hours and anywhere from two to 10 fan letters a day.
He changed his phone number, but one fan site found his new digits.

Woman claims ownership of the sun
She got us there.A canny Spanish woman from Galicia - a sun-drenched region on the border with Spain and Portugal - has decided that she owns the star, and has the registration papers to prove it.
Angeles Duran, 49, says that the sun officially belongs to her now, having had the celestial body registered in her name at a local notary office.
Ms Duran told the online edition of daily El Mundo she took the step in September after reading about an American man who had registered himself as the owner of the moon and most planets in our solar system.
There is an international agreement which states that no country may claim ownership of a planet or star, but it says nothing about individuals, she added.
'There was no snag, I backed my claim legally, I am not stupid, I know the law.
'I did it but anyone else could have done it, it simply occurred to me first.'
The document issued by the notary public declares Ms Duran to be the 'owner of the Sun, a star of spectral type G2, located in the centre of the solar system, located at an average distance from Earth of about 149,600,000 kilometers'.
Ms Duran, who lives in the town of Salvaterra do Mino, said she now wants to slap a fee on everyone who uses the sun and give half of the proceeds to the Spanish government - and 20 per cent to the nation's pension fund.
For those who might be a little too broke to venture out in the sunlight - and risk a large bill at the end of the day - Ms Dueran has not yet figured out a way of enforcing her sun charge.

Haha, I'd like to see her try.
Interesting story...
I think some of these stories about the TSA are blown out of proportion. Although, there are some good points made by some people involved in the pat downs and such.
