News That Made My Day Thread

Just post something intriguing or odd and discuses it here.
Scientists begin 520-day Mars mission simulation
I just can't comprehend how someone will submit themselves to a tube for over a freaking year. For the betterment of mother Russia? They either have to get paid big time or somehow know that they wont break down mentally in any of those 520 days.

Katy Perry wants to wear a "Bacon Bikini"
Oh that Katy Perry!
Lindsay Lohan released from jail after 14 days
First, people are exempt from jail because there's too much people? Secondly, I'm inclined to think that "overcrowding" is code for "I have money."
"For my next album I'd like it to be about meat and I want to be on the cover wearing a bacon bikini. Also I want my records to smell of sausage or pork. CDs are over, but not if they smell original."
Oh that Katy Perry!
Lindsay Lohan released from jail after 14 days
She served 14 days of a 90-day sentence, getting out early because of jail overcrowding.

Justin Bieber Is Writing His Memoirs at Age 16
At the very least, does this mean that Bieber will die of old age at 17?
Not worth quoting anything from the article.

Well, you gotta give him points for creativity. No one else has ever punished their pet by planning to eat them before. Could be effective(or traumatic).
Then again, there may be a reason for that. They probably taste terrible

(I also happened to check out their website, and alas, I found a major bug or two within the first minute of looking at it, so promptly took a screenshot and emailed it to them from an aliased email address.)

Man Suing Video Game Company For Becoming Too Addicted To The Game
Well, at least it's better than marrying a video game character, or something else.
A man in Hawaii is suing because he says he's suffering from video game withdrawal.

That's awesome, yet bad at the same time.
I can sympathize.
Also, I was fixing to post something in this thread and what do you know, a new post appears.
How do you not notice this?
