Davenport's Task

"Screw it, if I grow a third arm, I have some radout in my pack somewhere!"

Eric covered his face, and charged, when he reached the other side, he couldn't see, and could hardly breath. He doubled over, puked, then passed out

Turns around and sees both Dylan and Eric and jumps in surprise. "oh my goodness!" amber says while putting her hand on her chest, "you scared me."

Walks up to Dylan and smiles. "I don't believe we had a chance to introduce ourselves. I'm Amber."

"I'd watch yourself Amber, we've tried to avoid association with that lot." Zane walks over to them also and whispers into Dylan's ear, "Don't spoil her rotten lad, she's nice." He then pats Dylan on the shoulder, takes one look at Eric, then says "Well.....THAT was stupid." And then returns to Rae.

Dylan: "Oi Zane. You have yet to pull out a gun on me. I must be on your good side eh mate?"'

*Turns to Amber*

Dylan: "Many salutations. Guilty as charged, I just learned that word a week ago. Putting it to good use as it is."

*Turns to Zane and Rae*

Dylan: "And how have you two been? It comforts me that you two have gas masks. O' Eric here can't exhale to save his own life."

Giggles. "That's alright. I learn new things everyday," smiles. "What did he do?" Glances down at Eric, "walk through the gas without a mask?" Amber walks over to him and shakes his shoulder. "hello?"

Zane shouts back, "Too right, I like your air of sarcasm and dumbass-ity!" He stated, actually laughing. "And yeah, we, or...I, have masks. I have only two, so we would need more."

"I actually have two, incase mine broke," smiles. "good thing I thought ahead. You rly can't ever be to careful with that stuff." Looks around. "wow. So this is what it looks like then? I haven't ever been past the gas ring. This is actually quite facinating."

Eric coughed, then rolled over onto his stomach, and puked once more. He reached into his pack, and pulled out a jar with a lid on it, opened it, and sniffed what was inside, he was back to full alertness instantly. "Smelling salts, very useful," He glared at Zane, then nodded in greetings to amber.

"Oi, Doctor Boi! You still breathing?" Zane said as Eric got up. "Bloody miracle..."

Smiles back in acknowledgement. "So shall we leave then? I'm rather anxious to see all of this."

"Sure, we can get moving."

"great! Which way?" SHe asks as her body tenses somewhat in excitement.

"Ehh....we can go in a general.....THAT way direction!" Zane says, as he starts walking off at a brisk pace. Rae follows behind him saying "I'm glad we finally moving, each step away from that place makes me a little bit happier." "I'm with you on that one!" Zane retorts.

"I hate all of you already, especially you Zane, let's go," Eric said. He pulled out the survival guide, and started reading. "Most of this stuff will be obsolete, seeing as this is prewar, but it can still help,"

Dylan: "Your the vanguard."

*Ties extra gas mask onto Eric*

Dylan: "Take the hint."

*Takes out a cigarette and begins lighting*

Dylan: "Shame no one smokes. Wonder how I made it past the gas? Wacky tobaccky does wonders in covering one's respiratory system with a healthy coat of black."

"Do you want some help with that?" Amber asks Eric when she sees him kind of strggling with his things. "And may I ask who you are?" SHe asks as everyone starts walking forward.

Eric walks on in silence, checking his surroundings every couple of minutes, sweeping his view over the horizon.

Tries to hide her disapointment in being ignored and catches up with Zane and Rae, smiling and walking a little ahead.

Zane fumbles with his pistol as they walk, ejecting a round into his hand. "Hmm. It was loaded. Funny how that works...."

Rae piped up and said, "But...you shot at me." "It was on "safe", I knew." Zane replied. After a few more minutes, he sees something. "Wait. Everyone stop."

Stops dead in her tracks and turns around. "what is it?"
