And while the gang ran in the cardinal direction they have thought that they were going, they trekked through the night in hopes of avoiding detection from potential followers. Of course, the gang realized that they were in fact not heading east when the sun rose from behind their backs.

Dylan: "Can't say I'm an artist."

Rae groaned and slapped her hand to her face, slowly movingit down from her forehead to her chin."Well isn't that just lovely. West...Okay...Anyone know of what's in the West?" She looked at Dylan."Thanks for drawling a map dear."

Amber laughs. "Well the sunrise is actually rather pretty. Beautiful colors." she says scanning the horizon.

"Hmm. West..." Zane murmmers. "I've rarely ventured West, but I've heard mixed opinions."

"Well I say we keep going this way. clearify things for those mixed opinions," she says rather excited.

Dylan: "I may or may not have made runs through this region when I had a functional taxi. There should be a lake if we keep at it. I'm sure Davenport would reward us handsomely if we presented them a source of water. Well, that is if its not severely contaminated."

"hmm. An actual body of water??!" she gasps and smiles, "That's exciting!"

"If we find a clean source of water we will use it for our own needs. Davenport sent us out here with that field as population control. I don't trust it."

Brendan coughed once more, dragging his feet against the soft ground below him. He'd been without water for days, his vision blurred and he wobbled like a drunk man. He clumsily grabbed his canteen in the hope of finding stray water, only to find nothing but air. He'd be a goner soon if he didn't find water. The sun above him laughed at the man's pity as the day grew brighter and hotter.

Suddenly, as if the universe had answered to his plea, he found people in the distance - not just one, a group! Hope dawned and he felt he was saved, accelerating until he was running as fast his feet could take him. Small blurs in his vision slowly turned into people, armed yet probably not bandits. He hollered "Water! Help... I need... Water!" in a heavy Irish accent. He slowed to a halt, swaying on his own feet - Oh no.

His vision slowly brightened, until his own eyes felt overwhelmed by the very light that came forth before his eyes. He could feel his cheeks now touching the burning, unforgiving ground that they walked upon; the light became unbearable.

Black. Black. All he could see, Black.

"Dear God!" Evan kneels down in next to the fallen man, and rolls him over. "He's suffering from dehydration, maybe heat stroke. Get me some water and bring the medicine from my pack,"

Tosses him the pack of medicine and goes and grabs some water. "Here. Is this enough?" amber asks looking slightly worried, she stared at the passed out man for a moment.

After a moment, amber looks through her knapsack and pulls out the hammer again, making a holster for it with some scrap rope and placing it on her hip. "there, that makes me feel a tad safer," she mummbles to herself softly while a small smile takes over her lips. She stands there a moment, stuck in thought, fidling with the ring on her finger. Then she looks up.

"Now what? What are we supposed to do with...?" she asks pointing to the man still passed out on the ground.

Dlyan: "I'd reckon some form of CPR would be nice. I'm assuming Eric here is certified."

Rae stood by and watched, unsure what to do." Alright medic, give orders."

Eric takes a damp cloth, and soaks it in water, he placed the cold wet rag on the man's forehead, and pours water on his torso. Eric dropped a bit of water into the mans mouth, and rubbed his throat to make him swallow, "He's just passed out right now. Still breathing. We can try moving him, wait until he wakes up, or leave him,"

"One man who is as good as dead; should be." Zane took a cynical tone. "I really couldn't care either way. All of you here.....(are) merely along for the ride. I could continue on my own, if need be. I could manage." He finished.

"Very kind of you, if you want to kill him, I won't stop you, but otherwise, I'm staying to help him," Eric said,

"I get the feeling you don't really like me..." Zane said, turning and waltzing out into the fields, leaving the others behind.

Rae smiled and kneeled down next to Eric."How can I help?"

"Right now, all we can do is wait, every once in a while we can rewet the cloth... unless I can shoot him with adrenaline, he's not waking up soon. It would not be smart to shoot him with adrenaline right now"

Off topic: I'm sorry if not all of this seems like standard procedure, but I have yet to get my Ph.D. I'm not expecting that for a long time.

Rae nodded and looked at Eric."Perhaps we should try to move him into some shade?" The sun had risen to above the party, baring down with heated waves upon thier backs."It might keep the cloth a bit wetter longer."
