Fall of Rume [ATTN: Red]

OOC: Because I don't know the name of who I'm sending this to, I'll refer to them as "friend". Red can come up with something when he replies.
Dear Friend,
My name is Janin. I am a Toškhát historian with a life's worth of experience in my respective field, and I have, for a number of years now been in due process of studying the exact event that I believe to be almost solely responsible for the developmental path of Toškhát culture, attitudes, governance, religion and, most notably, militarisation. I've recently stumbled across some information which has led me to believe that to further my goals, I should seek your guidance.
We've never met, and you do not know me. However, I know of you - More specifically, I know of your studies and your unique expertise in historical studies, specifically of those concerning Rume and the pre-Capuan dwarvish empire.
You may or may not know this - In reality, very few outside the empire do. But, my people were not always as they are now. Many, many millenia ago, we were not alone - The Toškhát lived alongside five other races, native and unique to our islands.
[ Insert long winded story that we discussed over MSN here. Because I'm too tired to post it all again and running out of time to do other things today. ]
However, at some point, our islands were invaded by an unknown force which succeeded in wiping out all but our own peoples. I believe, that was the event which essentially triggered the ensuring course of our cultural development.
Now, the information which I've recently stumbled across which has led me to contacting you, and where you fit in - I've recently completed comparative studies of several surviving elements of that era which have shown me that the year in which our islands were attacked and the other four peoples fell, is the same year in which the ancestors of the Dwarves - that race which you primarily focus your endevours upon - fell, and the same year in which the Empire from where Capua originated from was destroyed.
I am of the believe, that it is possible, that these historical events may be linked, and that we may possibly be able to shed some light on one another's works.
Please respond as soon as possible.
Kind Regards,
Histórera Janin Gérandó Eijarám.

.:: OOC ::.
@Bleach: Sort of, lol. We've got a plan. '^.^
@Oberon: Not entirely sure yet, but have vague ideas. Will work it out as we go along. Part of the purpose of this thread is a way for me to poke a pointy stick at the history of our world and explain a few things in the cultures of various nations.
@Red: We've both been away for a while, both have little time, and both have other things in this RP of higher priority. But, when you've got a chance, I'm seriously keen to get this going, lol. Reply when you've got the chance. ^.^
