Yes, we must all ban together so that you can reclaim the title of Geckoberry!
Dang, I thought the flashing light was a quick fix. I know somewhere in the manual there is a fix for that. Anyway, I'll miss seeing you on PSN for sure. We need to play undead nightmare or someUC3 when you get it back! Congrats on being in college, welcome to the college life! I'm also in a computer science major, except it's called "Computer Support Specialist" aka an IT guy. Which, I might be changing it over to Networking. I thought about getting an Xbox, just solely for the fact that I can play with some of my best bro on Halo and Battlefield even though I hate Xbox....
If I do get one, I can almost guarantee that my name will be available.
I've been doing pretty well, might be getting promoted at my job and recently came back from vacation out west in Yellowstone. IT WAS FREAKING AWESOME. I agree JOC, I have missed everyone on here as well.

The flashing light does have a quick fix, all you have to do is heat the mother board. The guy at sony told me that it was fucked beyond repair and that sony was the only thing that could save it. He lied. I took a hair drier and heated the back of the system for 15 minutes and, just like magic, it was working. However it is just a temporary fix, and it promptly died again soon after.
And yes once i get my new one we shall indeed play many Uncharteds and Red Deads
How do you like computer science? my classes havent started yet and im not entirely sure what to expect

Hey everyone! Glad to see some faces still show up around here from time to time. I'd say we should enact some kind of resurrection for LS, but I think that's well beyond what we can hope for. Oh well.
Anyway, glad to hear from you JOC, and I'm glad everything's going well for you (aside from the PS3 RloD... that sucks). Also, college student now, eh? Welcome to the club. As you likely know, I'm somewhat related to your major, being in Graphic Design. I've had to take a few CS courses myself already as supplementary stuff - Computer Graphics and Web Design to name the two of em. Good luck with it, Computer Science isn't easy, but if you understand it, you're well on your way to success.
I myself am heading off shortly for my Junior year at CCSU. Taking two rigorous graphic design classes (which should be tons of work.. yaaaay), plus a History course (Modern Europe) for my Minor, and a British Literature to take care of a gen ed. XD Also, I've started taking Japanese, so we're gonna see how that goes.

I did not know that you were in graphic design. That's really awesome, you should get some of your art up on LS i'd be very interested in seeing it.
And Japanese? O.o that's quite a task right there.

Bleach, you've got quite the stack of classes there. I agree with JOC, post some of your work.
Teach us all some Japanese Bleach, it's a pretty sweet language.
JOC, as for what to expect. Depending on professor, as it may vary since we didn't have same professor or classes, it can be hard yet fun or fun and easy or even worst case like one class I had. It was hard, frustrating, and not fun.
Networking class has LOTS of information, acronyms, and overall a lot to learn and remember. I've been out for the summer and a good but of the stuff is hard to remember. My into to programming class was sorta easy thanks to the professor. My Systems Analysis class, was well kinda boring but informative at times.
Now, let me tell you about my biggest headache of school so far. So I may rant here....
The class was Visual Basic. The next class up from the intro. This time, the class was ALL ONLINE. On top of that, it was easy for the first two weeks. After that, it got hard. The professor didn't respond to emails because he was busy with second job downtown. I couldn't get help, and like math programming is a building block subject. I never got chapter 3 stuff' so stuff in chapters 4, 5, 6, etc. didn't make any sense. The quizzes were hard because of the way the book was written, it made answers hard to find and sometimes were not existent so you had to wing it on the actual quiz question. Basically, when I did get help it was about 1 email worth. I need more but he didn't reply to that email so it wasn't a good conversation that got much help. By the end of the semester, I was drowning in confusion and beating my head against the wall in frustration. I had no idea what I was doing and my quiz grades were slipping because the questions I could answer were few and far between. I finally went to my Networking professor who has every certification basically. He had no idea how to help me out, so that tells you something right there. We had no one else in the department I could ask until the new professor to replace the old one over programming got hired. Thankfully he was there that day. That day, I asked for help over chapter 3. By the time I left I felt like I actually understood chapter 3 this time a little bit. I understood just because I got a little bit of person to person help outside class. Now, granted I should have asked earlier for help but at the time I figured I could get help from professor via email. When I received help, it was week 15 out of 16 of the semester. I no longer had an option to get my grades back up in time. I had been teaching my self the class for the last 12 weeks of the class. That class was a HUGE thorn in my side and a HUGE headache for me all semester. I ended up having to do my best, which was sub-par, on the final. Even then, a good grade on the final couldn't bring me out of the hole I was in. I failed the class, lost my financial aid and as a result I have to take 1 class this semester that I know I can pass to get my aid back. Thanks to the new aid requirements here, I can only lose it once.
Joc, I can't tell you everything to expect. Just know, you may have a lot of work sometimes and a lot of information to learn. Do the best you can, and make sure to learn the material and all that good stuff. CS ain't easy that is for sure. I wish you the best Joc.

Well this place has certainly been lively I see... Where did everyone go?
Anyway I couldn't help but notice that it says it's our very own BleachKing's birthday today! So happy birthday Bleach! May it be legendary!

As lively as it usually is, eh? Anyway, I'm late on this, but a heartfelt thank you, JOC. And if you'd like to know where most people have been as of late (or perhaps the last couple of months...) it's been http://rpgfrontier.net/. I believe you're registered there, yes?
Well, I hope you see this sometime soon... XD Not that LS is going anywhere.

I have indeed been wondering where you all have run off to. I don't believe I am registered at RPGfrontier. If I am... I have no memory of doing so lol. But yes, I'll check it out
I'm glad to see that some people still come around here though. For those of you who are still around I wish you a (politically incorrect) Merry Christmas to you all
