Onibasu relayed the details of the Shinsengumi's attack to Daisuke back in his home. The place was fine and fairly spacious, paid for by wealthy supporters Daisuke had gained, but it was also very simple. Daisuke sat on a tatami mat in his room, listening to the tale intently.
"So the Shinsengumi succeeded, despite having been found out beforehand," he said, "I would expect no less from the likes of them. And this Hayate Hazama could pose a problem, we'll need to be careful of him in the future. Anything else?"
"It appears the Shinsengumi are moving south, to Fushimi-Ku," Onibasu told him.
"I see," Daisuke said, "That's good. It's better we're separate, so the Meiji cannot focus on both of us. We'll heed that ceasefire as well, for now. But soon, the flame of the revolution will rage, and I shall feed the blaze until this Meiji government is nothing but ash."
