Rage In New Solaris (ATTN : Maik)
Thu Jul 21, 2011 2:40 am
The news of a small village that was attacked has spread all over the empire. Citizens of New Solaris is screaming for vengeance when humans where eaten by monsters of Holy Empire. Several riots spread all over the country all asking one thing "Kill Holy Empire". The rates of new kids joining the military has doubled in just four days. The police are doing their best to calm the situation on the streets but anger even reaches to Darko De Luca.
4 Days Earlier
It was a normal night in Darko's Palace. Since the winter season started to end the streets above ground have been reopen to all in the capital. This gave Darko a chance to watch all New Solaris citizens going on their business in the city. It was calm and only in a couple of days the Spring Festival will begin.
The doors to his study was being knocked loudly as possible. "Elite General this is General Christino of Department of Clandestine. I have a very urgent message that is consider a Delta 1-3!" The term Delta 1-3 is never good news to hear. Its a prediction that their will be indefinitely a full scale riots in the country by its citizens. The last time a Delta 1-3 was announced was in the beginning years of New Solaris when Ex Military Generals try to perform a coup by publishing false facts that caused half of the population to riot.
Darko ran towards the door and opened it urgently. After a couple of minutes Darko finish reading the dossier he starts clenching his fist making the bones to crack. "I want every f**king general here at the palace today! Get every one who even has a military position of control here! I want the Army, Navy, and the Clandestine to stand by and order the police to prepare for riots to happen in New Solaris" The messenger ran out of the room in a hurry. Darko grabbed his bottle of vodka and threw it at the windows making it shatter.

OOC: Hold tight. Response will be swift (game time wise), but I need to conclude the Dominante's meeting with Ciltesse before I can properly reply due to influences it may have. Will reply here the moment it's sorted.

The War Room was open in the Elite Generals Palace. Everyone who was in charge of the military and police departments was present. But for the first time the Director of the Clandestine Department was allowed entry. Every general was questioning about the new face of the Clandestine Department. It is the first time that even other Departments knew the existence of Department of Clandestine.
"Director of Clandestine Department please explain on who the Holy Empire is?" said Darko. The man explained everything that was known by this country and as soon he was finish nearly every general wanted one thing. "We need to declare war on these creatures of hell, we need to exterminate every demon of Holy Empire" said one of the General.
Everyone was rambling on what New Solaris should do and it was nearly the same which was extermination. The Director of Clandestine stood up and shouted out to get everyone one's attention. It became silent instantly. "I have a better idea than a full fledged invasion of the Holy Empire. I have a plan that would not need even one solider." said the Director of Clandestine Department.

OOC: Planning is cool. Just so you know though, the only reason I'm holding off my response is because I'm pedantic about maintaining time consistency in the overall events of the RP. Trade negotiations with Oberon are all happening within the period of a few hours, whereas our conflict will probably occur over a period of at least a few weeks at bare minimum, so I'm a bit holed up until that's all completed. You're not the only one. I've got stuff to sort out with pretty much everyone that is queued up for the time being. Sorry about delays. Feel free to post planning and whatever, but just avoid getting too far ahead in the time line, otherwise we'll end up needing to both back-edit posts.

Kúmaó kept a close watch on the horizon line as the small trade vessel made its way towards the main port of Luxuria Urbs, Solaris - His assignment was simple, yet imperitive, and had come directly from the Dominante.
As per the agreement made between Erynnen and the Holy Empire, a number of Erynnen ships had been equipped with Toškhát scouts, and the particular vessel he found himself on - A regular trade vessel that traversed numerous ports over the Great Sea Northern Cirumpolar Route, including the one they now approached - Was equipped with two. Himself and one other.
Their mission was four part. Firstly, as standard to all scouts on all vessels in the manner adherent to the agreement, to defend their posts and to defend the mission of those vessels while posted there. Secondly, to undertake any orders given to them by the captain. Thirdly, to report any suspicious findings and all activities to the Dominante. And in their case, fourthly - To passively investigate Solaris capabilities as best they could within the confines of the first three parts of their mission and to gather further information pertaining to their planned invasion.
His compatriot lay below decks, attending to some other duties that didn't particularly interest Kúmaó at that time, nor did what the rest of the ship's crew did for that matter, unless he were ordered to take notice. Instead, his interest was in making sure he kept a hawk's eye on the port as they came in. He'd been warned during his briefing to avoid being seen at all by Solaris, civilians or otherwise, due to the possibility of detainment or execution - The information received from Capua and subsequent investigation suggested that Solaris would likely have zero tolerance for his presence and that discovery could both jeopardize his mission as well as Empire-Erynnen relations, should it impinge on Erynnen's ability to conduct normal trading with Solaris.
As they came within visual range, a few orders were given in Elvish from the Captain to various crew members, and they went about preparing to dock.
Kúmaó could hear shouting coming from the shoreline - There was some sort of commotion happening near the main docks. As they came closer, he began to hear what the shouting was - A significant number of Solaris civilians had been rioting on the streets and main docks, a number of them chanting, "Kill Holy Empire!"
The captain, seeing the commotion, gave a few quick orders to the crew. "We'll wait for the riot pass. I don't care what this is about, but I don't want any rioters getting on my ship or damaging our stocks. Our clientele wouldn't like that."
Thinking it better to play safe, Kúmaó moved towards the back of the ship's deck and lay low. Calling to anchor just short of the port, the Captain looked to Kúmaó. "You and the other best stay below decks. I can't have you causing those rioters to turn on my ship."
Not disagreeing, Kúmaó hastily moved below decks, and informing his compatriot of the situation, waited.
From below, though he couldn't see the commotion with his eyes, he could hear quite clearly what was happening - Civilians rampaging through the streets, damaging their own infrastructure and fighting amongst each other, all the while, continuously chanting "Kill Holy Empire!"
There's no way he'd ever be able to leave the ship at this port without jeopardizing his duties to his captain, which means he'd have no way to confirm or even suggest Solaris capabilities, as had been part of his mission. Nonetheless, these riots would be reported back to the Dominante, and at the least, would further lean suggestion to the mentalities of the Solaris people - Angry, savage and bloodthirsty. Though ultimately the discretion of the Dominante, in Kúmaó's opinion, there would be no diplomatic solution to the Solaris threat - Peace would likely not be made.
Eventually, the riots stopped, the ship moved to port and the elves did their trading. This took some time, all the while, both he and his compatriot remaining below decks. However, their trading was conducted without hitch and without trouble, and they eventually, once more, set sail to the open seas.
Once at sea, Kúmaó immediately began writing up his report. His report would be forwarded during their trip via a vessel heading back to the Holy Empire directly to the Dominante.

OOC: Read "Dominante's Journal" for follow-up of this report. Chronologically, I think we're now on par, so you're welcome to act at any time. If you want to take first strike, you're welcome to do so. You'll probably notice from my posts that I'm mostly awaiting an expected attack from Solaris, meaning not likely to make first move. If you'd rather not make the first move, that's cool too, as I've planned it for both ways and I'll get something up by tomorrow for a first strike if that's the case. Anyhow, have got to run to work, like, right now, so I'll leave my posting at that for today.
