UPDATE: Site Reform
Tue May 24, 2011 9:55 pm
Today a massive amount of cleaning and organization has occurred. As you might of noticed, the forum layout of Legacy Society has been slightly simplified. The Hall now contains the Wire, the Podium, and Legacy Blog as sub-forums. This is just the start of what may be changed, but for now it may stay like this. I plan on helping LS become a little less cluttered, and I feel this is a good first step.
Along with the forum change, many topics have been sent to the archives. I went through each forum and cleaned out all dead or ancient topics that don't look like they will be used any longer on LS. They are not deleted, mind you. They are all accessible through the Archive topic so don't get worried. If something has gone missing that you miss a lot, just notify me. If it is something for the off-topic forums, you may just want to start a new topic.
On a side note, I apologize for my absence. I don't have any excuses, so I'll just try to commend for it by working hard to return this site back to its proper form.
Thank you,
~Chef

I think the site needs to be reinvented. Or possibly a skin job.

Well... that's some disturbing imagery. But, as always - I welcome your comments guys. I will take some of those into consideration for future site updates.

Is there an option to turn off the advertisement banner?
And it's a little weird at the top where it says "Legacy Society" and above that there's a big banner saying "Legacy Society"

Well, I thought so too actually. I have tried in the past to at least get rid of the text beneath the banner... I can give it a go again.
Or, would you rather I get rid of the banner entirely?

I think the banner should go. It's fairly huge and it just makes you scroll down more to do anything on the site, so it doesn't actually serve a good purpose.

OK, then I shall take out the banner and leave the text.

After short discussion Bleach and I agreed on rearranging the forums like you see them now. It's more concise and, to me, it looks a lot better than before. Note: it's still under changes, but this is generally what it will be looking like.
If you have any comments on how it looks now, please post!

As Chef just said, we managed to make everything a bit more organized and simplified. Hopefully that will help site navigation a bit more.
Also, as a side note to add - I ended up deleting the banner at the top and keeping the words. As much as I feel it sucks and is quite boring, that seems to be what everyone wanted. Perhaps at some point I can get rid of the text there and replace it with a small banner like what I ended up making for RPGF - our name in awesome typeface along with our motto along the bottom.
What do you all think?

EDIT: I just went ahead and did it.
LS now has a nice new theme and a new banner that is a bit more simple but still flashy. Any and all comments are welcomed. Enjoy the change guys!

Dang, this place looks sexy. Waitaminute. LOL. Bleach I made a forum a while back where I basically used Legacy Society as a template. Now with this new changes, LS is using the same skin I based my forum off of:
http://secondarylevel.forumotions.net/
Edit: Well I made a lot of drastic changes but I kept the buttons and icons.
*random high five!*

Oh wow... I totally forgot about this.. XDD
Thanks Canter, for indirectly and perhaps subconsciously driving us to choose this skin for LS. As for the one you linked to, I'm saving that as an alternate skin, in case anything were to happen to this one. Maybe we'll use it when this one gets boring (don't count on it... this is awesome for a phpBB site).
Also, to EVERYONE -
God-forbid there might a domain error issue in the future for any of you, I'd like you to update your bookmarks with the newer domain for LS.
https://legacysociety.darkbb.com/
There isn't much of a difference, however since I took out the Portal, which I doubt anyone used, this is now the homepage for LS. I don't want anyone to suddenly show up on LS and find some crazy 404 error or something.
Sorry for any inconvenience,
~ LS Staff

I like the new stuff, background is VERY similar to RPGF but I like the forum appearance and stuff. Ha, I never used the portal has the homepage anyway. I went straight to the link you posted above. I like the new site, I went to the new site and went WHAT THE HECK. The site looks awesome, I like. Very nice Bleach. Well done. More professional if you will.

Why if it isn't JOC, welcome back to LS. And yes, we aim to continue the tradition of forum advancement. XD It does look awesome though, I must admit.
