UPDATE: November 16th, 2010 Empty UPDATE: November 16th, 2010

Well everyone, as you have guessed, and can plainly see, LS has a certain issue right now. The site is very very slow right now. It has been a long time since games have been posted in, and they all seem to have grown rather stale. So, what do I suggest for everyone, mods and members included? An overhaul.

The games that are a month inactive or over shall of course, as per the site rules, be terminated (IE Stored in Purgatory). I want all the members that I know continue to come back here (thank you all), to please make some friendly suggestions as to how the community as a whole, or we the staffers, can fix this down-point.

Be aware, LS is not dead, it will not be closed down like EAK/EAG/SGS... LS will remain strong for the pure fact that she has her loyal members.

Please, comments, suggestions, questions and concerns are needed.

Can you spice up the dice rolling feature (assuming this place has one)?

I might want to roll out a RIsk-based game.

Sorry that things have been slow. I know how that goes. Maybe I should see if I can participate in an RP... Smile

I agree with Canter, if we can get a Risk type game going it might help. I have no idea how it will work but just like in Civilization 3, I'm talking about play by email, it has a mode that seems impossible at first glance.

This is assuming this place supports such a feature:

1) Go to Administrative Panel as admin.
2) Click on the Modules Tabs
3) Go to the Roleplay Game section on the right of the screen and click on "Dices roll"

Here you should be able to activate dice rolling, create your own dices, how many sides for each dice, and name them. It's basically a number generator, which can come in handy.

Additionally, you'd have to designate an account as the "Game Master," meaning that everytime you roll a dice, the results show up in an automated post.

You could give me temporary admin access and i could handle what is needed for my game.

As for suggestions, maybe get rid of the Serious Debate section and move all the threads to the off-topic place. It seesm to have little purpose;.

Now that he mentions that, I do recall seeing something like that or similar to it back when I was an Admin.

I will look into the module and try it out. That should make an interesting addition.

If you ever do get around implementing this feature, I would like to request:

*2 sided dice named "Coin Flip"
*6 sided dice named "Attack"
*8 sided dice named "Defense"

If you wanted to be flashy, here are some image files I made for another site:

UPDATE: November 16th, 2010 Heads-2
UPDATE: November 16th, 2010 Tails-1

UPDATE: November 16th, 2010 AttackDice
UPDATE: November 16th, 2010 DefendDice

*Edit: Of course, the other site had a white background and it looked normal. Sad

I drafted a legit risk-type game that is balanced (and I would only know since I ran a terrible balanced game beforehand and learned from the horror that ensued) and the game will be ready to go.

Well, Dice Roll function is a-go, and all may use it (I think). Have fun guys, and it should be interesting to see your game, Canter.
