Premise

Millennial after the First spaceflight of the Apollo 11, Humanity discovers life outside their own in the form of a Interstellar Union - right outside their doorstep. After contact and years of research, Humanity has finally been able to fully integrate itself in the thriving, peaceful environment of the Galactic Union. Years of research and cooperation with Prodromus has enabled Humanity to use the Kruglov-Judson, a warp drive made with the combined efforts of the unified Earth Government, the Confederation for Terran Defense, or for short, the Confederacy. With the development of the warp drive came a new age for humanity, one that set them free of their prison upon Earth, and has moved Humanity to the stars and beyond.

The Prodromus, an Ancient race of still-living beings, has been known in the Galactic Union since its beginning - being the race that guided the younger races that had joined the Union ages ago through the ways of interstellar travel. Being mistaken as gods by humans in ancient history, the peace-loving and wise race revisited Earth, teaching the young race how to travel through the Galaxy. However, things are not as peaceful as hoped. Years into the admission of the Human race into the Galactic Union, it was clear tensions within were growing, even before the Humans' involvement in Galactic Politics.

The Argument consisted of two sides - One side, the United Justicars, as a party in the Democratic system that wished to be lead by the Prodromus, and to continue down the path of Galactic Enlightenment and harmony; the second party, the Vanguards of Liberation, believed that the Prodromus had taught them enough, and that the races should separate themselves from the ancient race in order to carry out their own destinies and enlightenment, to make their own livings in the galaxy, like leaving one's parents for the real world. Extremists from the Vanguards called for the eradication of the ancient race in order to preserve peace and keep the Prodromus from using readily available technology that could be used to eliminate opposition and lead a Dictatorship, while Extremists from the Justicars called for the silencing of opponent party, and to deem speaking out against the Prodromus illegal.

However no matter how hard the Justicars, or any party for that matter, asked for an opinion from the Prodromus, they have always answered with an immediate neutrality, saying that they shall go with their fate peacefully. The Prodromus has immediately silenced themselves, pledging forever they shall remain neutral in the matter. After attempts to kill Prodromus by Vanguard Extremists, the Prodromus colonies were placed under Military Garrison - no one besides Justicar and Prodromus ships were allowed in or out of the colonies, otherwise the ships attempting to land on the colonies were shot on sight. Actions caused by Extremists on both sides have escalated the debate, and tensions are only rising.

It has been a few centuries since the first debates, and the Galactic Union, the once unified government of the known Milky Way, is split into 2 factions now currently in a bitter Cold War. The future Justicars, the Interstellar Commonwealth, and the future Vanguards, the Front for Secession, comprise these 2 factions. Civil War has struck, yet no one knows who fired first - species race to join the war or hide from it. We, the races of these 2 factions, will begin in the months that followed the first shots that shook the Milky Way - We shall tell the stories of the first battles, shots, and commanders that began this costly, bloody War.
