History The Tamrodiilians are known to be one of the last Elven races that still reside within Ryerdae. They are a very peaceful people and are close to nature. Most live, as their name suggests, in Tamrodiil. It has been speculated that the Tamrodiilians might be the descendants of the ancient Ayleids, but none can be sure. During the first age, the Tamrodiilians were known to be the only race who came from a totally different land. Many think that they came from an undiscovered piece of Ryerdae, making them pure natives.
During war, the Elves of Tamrodiil made no alliances, and rather defended their own territories. They are a people who hate warring on other nations and people, and would rather enjoy the peace that is possible. The elves of Tamrodiil were the first to introduce the second of the two enchanted metals, Mithril. They seem to be one of the only races who use the metal, and are very cautious about who they share their metallurgy secrets with. New Capua seems to be the only other nation who has been able to retain a good relationship with the Tamrodiilians.
After the Oracles Mandate disappeared, the Tamrodiilians ceased all relationships with the Imperials, and seems to isolate themselves from all but their closest ally, New Capua. The isolation has continued to this day, and the elves are much more hostile toward those who disrupt their peace that they work to keep within their state.
Tamrodiilians are the only race to ever journey into the Dead Forest without fear. All who do venture into the Region however, do not come back. Why this is, shall remain a mystery.
Appearance The Tamrodiilians are elves, therefore the pointed ears are a obvious trait. Most elves are quite slender, but very strong. Their strong wills and physicality comes into play through their long blond or dark hair, and their deep eyes. Clothing of the elves are elegant robes and the warriors wear either green leather armor, or ornate gold or silver armor if they happen to be of the Eldar.
Personality The elven personality can be comparable to the Imperials in that they are very very well mannered, and do not appreciate those who lack such things. Most Tamrodiilians seem to be put under the category of rhy humor, and enjoy large parties with the entire community.
Beliefs Most elves pray to one god on a local level. Depending on the village or town, the gods or goddesses will differ. Some elves have even chosen to follow Imperial Gods to worship. The belief that manners are very important stems from the Ayleid it is assumed, and also the theme of honor.
Culture Community is viewed to be quite strong, and local to national unity is very important. Stability in society and government are always put at first priority, and defense seems to be much more focused upon than attacking. Food and music is held to be important in elven culture, and merchants are held at a higher regard than other nations, as they tend to bring knowledge from other cultures and peoples to Tamrodiil. Learning and Enlightenment are two of the most important ideals in Tamrodiilian culture.
Relationship with other races The Elves of Tamrodiil has tended to not trust mankind, which makes for strained relationships in Anumias and New Temperia. New Capua is a strong ally to Tamrodiil and has been for hundreds of years. Aside from the political struggles, Tamrodiilians continue to trade with most of the nations.
