Standard blades

Katana
Spoiler:
The standard Japanese longsword, weapon of choice for most samurai.

Nodachi
Spoiler:
Similar to the katana, the nodachi is a very large sword. The samurai Sasaki Kojiro is known for having unnatural speed and precision with this large weapon.

Kodachi
Spoiler:
A short sword, the kodachi is useful defensively, often used with a katana. It is often constructed to compliment the size of the wielder, so they vary in size.

Wakizashi
Spoiler:
A short sword similar to the kodachi, the wakizashi tends to be shorter and has less curvature.

Tanto
Spoiler:
A dagger, it can be concealed or used as a second weapon.

Ninja weapons

Ninjato
Spoiler:
Sword used by ninja, it is a bit smaller than the katana, as well as straighter. It has a sheath slightly longer than the blade for faster draws.

Kusarigama
Spoiler:
An adaptation of a simple farming tool, the kusarigama has a blade for short range as well as a long chain flail for long.

Shurikens
Spoiler:
Projectiles used by ninja, they include throwing stars and kunai. Throwing stars can be laced with poison, and kunai can also be used in melee.

Others

Yumi
Spoiler:
The yumi is a large bow used by samurai, one side longer than the other. Wielders are capable of deadly accuracy.

Zanbato
Spoiler:
Even larger than the nodachi, the zanbato is a massive sword made to slice through a rider and his horse in one blow. It takes one of great strength to wield it, and even more so to be skilled with it.

Kanabo
Spoiler:
A large studded club. This deadly weapon is carried by demons of Japanese myths.
