Steps toward your escape.

Leonardo was relatively surprised by the fact that he is part of something more than a survival team - yet his main goal was clear no matter his Superior's objectives; to get off the island and return to civilization. Although he would play as nice military Engineer with these Soldiers for now, he will betray them and his own rag-tag team to leave this forsaken place.

As he heard the plan about learning more, he thought of how this would aid him in getting off alive, so he silently agreed to it. Later that night, when they were scavenging around for information, he stumbled upon some information concerning some new developments in the labs - primitive files about Hover Technology in Theory, studies and schematics for a primitive Gauss Weapon, and other Confidential developments, and even some background information about this group's history and current developments and status. He must have been in an archive - tons of data for the taking that could benefit Humanity locked away where they are at risk of never being discovered or used again, threatened by the fact that Aliens may just retake this island and whatever technology they have left to collect dust.

Once he found all the information he needed, as well taking some pictures from a PDA he secretly stole on his journeys through this island, he left with the data and went back to sleep of better times, with dinner on the table, a nice shower at his disposal, and a soft bed.

LBW, by vitals check. I mean't post your vitals in the vitals check thread. I couldn't lock this one because I don't have mod powers back in my RP yet...

Leonardo was about to confront James about his findings, but as the loud speaker announced that they were needed in the Commander's office, he knew there was no time. Finding James, he walked with him to the direction of the Commander's office. Had he figured out what they'd done? Or were they to be sent on some suicide mission for this damn Paramilitary group?

He whispered to James "Keep me posted, alright?" and then left for his station in the Engineering part of the Base. Hopefully he would work there peacefully; he still worried for the others, they could be in some serious trouble if the Commander knew, he just hoped they'd be alright.

Galem awakes to the voice of the commander over the loud speaker. He rubbed his eyes and quickly gatherd his gear and set out to the clinical office to see what he could do there. as he arrived he looked about and checked the equipment and looked around the surgical tables and saw everything was in order. He sat back down and figured some one will come in or he would get a call to go help out in some medical way. But for now he sat and relaxed.

Galem sat there looking through a book he found in a drawer with some other stuff. Not much was happening until he heard James over the radio. He leaned in his chair towards his bag and grabbed his radio " Reminds me a home and my job. Good luck out there" He finished putting it back down on the desk. He then got a call from a soldier over the radio on the wall about someone breaking there leg falling off a ladder. "yup just like home." Galem grabbed his bag and a folding stretcher while heading out the door.

Brad walked into the research room and looked around, it seemed pretty high tech and it had everything he would need. That was a relief, he knew how to use everything here. Walking up to the person who seemed to be in charge of everything here.

"I was told to come down here and help you, I have no other information so if you expect me to be of much use I would suggest filling me in a little more on what exactly you want me to do."

The man raised an eyebrow at Brad, "Well, you must be Brad Knight, I take it you were in Crime Scene investigation?"

"Yes, and how the hell do you know that."

The man shrugged, "That was what I was told you would have to ask the chief how he knew."

Brad frowned, "Alright fine, we can discuss that later, what ya need me to do now?"

The man smiled, "Good I like a man ready for work!"

Walking over to an area with two other people pouring over papers the man pulled up a chair, "This here are documents pertaining to the aliens their habits and stuff like that. I need you with these men here to figure out their behavior patterns, strategies and stuff like that so we know how to counter them."

Brad frowned this wan't exactly the type of work he did but he guessed he could learn fast enough. "Ok I will se what I can do."

Brad sat down and one of the people at the table handed him a stack of documents, Brad sighed and started with the top page..... this was going to be one heck of a job.

Anya woke to men shouting and she swore under her breath,"Shit im late." She threw the covers off her body and jumped out of bed, she immediatly started to run her fingers thru her hair and noticed a gun sticking out of James's bag. She quickly looked around to see if anyone was looking than quickly reached down and stowed the gun in the back of jeans.

She ran out of the barracks just in time to see James and his team heading out. She ran as fast as she could to catch up and grabed a begal from a guy as he was about to bout bite into it.,"Thanks dude." he yelled something after her but his words were muffled as the wind rushed past and she bit into the begal. The cream cheese tasted vary good and sweet to her tounge and she savored the taste. She quickly ran to the passanger side of the huge Hummer and jumped in pushing another guy out of her way.

"Hey James ready too go!"They headed out 500m in the woods and they were ambuished, she didnt even know what was going on when the hummer fliped over.She woke with blood streaming down her arm as a piece of glass was jetting out from it. She managed to unbuckle herself and crawl out of the rumage. She took out the stored gun and looked around nervously to see what had attacked them but saw nothing, She than heard James's screams off in the distance and she knew what had attacked them.

Anya started to run back to the camp as fast as she could, glancing occaionally back behind her. She reached the gates and she yelled for them to open the gates, once inside she was escorted to the captin and she heard them call for a med. She waited patiently as the pain in her arm had all ready subsided and it was just a numb feeling..

IC: James awakes inside some strange building with bright lights in front of his eyes. He looks around spotting about 3 armed guards. He has no idea how he got there or why he is there. There is a knock on the door, an eye-hole is slid open. A best walks in dressed as if he is high up in the ranks. Turning to James, "Glad to see you've woken up. Now that you're awake, I want you to tell us everything you know. Tell us what all the humans possess and plan to do to us. If you do not comply, we'll have to kill you." James squinting, looks up at the officer saying, "How do you know English? I don't know anything. I just got here.."
The officer smirking with disgust, "If you keep this up, you'll be dead by tomorrow." The officer says something in a foreign language, and motions towards James. He leaves the room. One of the guards approaches James, he claws James' face. James grunts as the guard's claws rip open his flesh. He screams in agony as the guards relentlessly begin to torture him.....

Leonardo wiped his face, full of sweat and grime - it was a marvel to behold. He had just finished modified a Humvee, it now looked even more armored, with Hill-billy armor plating, adding in an extra 2 inches of armor. He added Shock Absorbers inside the Vehicle and had gotten away with an inch of Kevlar between the plates and the Humvee; it was almost impenetrable to weapons fire, claws probably; however, Alien technology might be able to, never know.

The broken Machine Gun that once was used in the turret was now replaced with a M249 SAW mounted to the Humvee, with a larger box of ammunition; it was nearly perfect. Along with some upgraded weapons, the Humvee was the only thing he was working on when he decided to check on James. Picking up the Walkie Talkie, has asked James "How's everything going on your end, James?" he asked, but only static returned. Strange, why would he not respond. "James? Are you there? Pick up James!" he started to yell, he must have thought of it as a joke. "This ain't funny James! Pick, up!" still static returned...

He couldn't bare the thought, was James dead? Since the moment he awoke he thought they'd all come home safe and sound, but James is dead. Gone forever, killed by those Alien bastards! "I'm so sorry, James..." he said, knowing it was useless now. Pounding his fist on the desk in front of him, he yelled in anger, cursing. After a few moments of anger and sadness, he knew it wouldn't help, sighing, he returned to work.

Galem sat there after treating the leg and stared at the ceiling. "wow" is all he could really say as he sat there bored to death. He looked through some drawers only to find endless supplies, he then turned to his radio. "hey James you there?" He said noticing he had not checked in. He was about to ask again when he got and emergency call, it was Anya. He thought James might be there to considering they went on patrol together. He grabbed his gear and ran out to find her. He caught up with her and her escorts. He noticed many bruises and small cuts, then saw shards of glass sticking out her arm. " hey are you alright, what happened?" He said pulling out some tweasers and glasses to get the glass out.

*8 weeks later*

James awakes the next day in his holding cell. A guard walks in and gives James his food, although James doesn't eat it. The guard walks away and returns to his chair outside the cell. James calls the guard over and tells him to grab the food. While he bends over to pick it up, James takes the knife and stabs the guard while covering his mouth. He reaches through the bars and grabs the guards keys. He takes the keys and unlock the gate. He walks outside and changes into the guards clothing. He walks outside the room and heads down the hallway. He approaches a room and enters it. Inside He finds some crates. He opens up the crates and find some weapons. He takes some of the smaller ones and check the room for anymore weapons. In the next few crates he find some parts of a weapon but no actual weapon for them to go to. He locks the door back and continues down the hallway. He comes to a staircase and decides to head upstairs. He walks down the hallway and stops to look out the window. James is amazed at the sight before his eyes.....

Brad stared at pages and pages of documents about these Aliens. He felt like he was living in some sci fi movie! He was sure though he wasn't dreaming because of the headache that was pounding just behind his right eye. He leaned back int he chair and tossed some paper away.

"I have had enough with these things! And I haven't even met them! They seem to dwell in swamps and underground. Especially because of the pupils in some of these pics."

Brad pointed to a few pictures. "This one is a night dweller and its build is good for digging. While this one here is used to water. This one is a climber. Oh heck! I need a break."

Brad stood up abruptly and walked upstairs. Rubbing his head he rounded a corner to the break room. It had been a while since James had vanished. A few members of the group were in the break room.

"Any news about James or ideas where he could be? Seeing as none of us want to believe he is dead.... got any other ideas yet?"
