Concerning Bounties

Bounties are the one thing that most Pirates seem to enjoy from the opposite end of the law. As the bounty gets higher, the Pirates and his crews fame and infamy grow. Bounties are used globally as scales that other use to measure just how powerful a person can be.
It is a double edged sword however. With Bounties can come recognition from other Pirates, larger crews and ships, and you will be known everywhere. But, this of course is only one side. The other side increases the risks and dangers that you will undoubtedly face. The arch enemy of any pirate, the Marines, always go for the bounties, and they come in force.
Other dangers will of course be other Pirate Crews who want to 1up your own crew and raise their own bounty in the process. Bounty Hunters are also quite common, and players should be aware that many are quite powerful themselves. They can either be self-employed or work under the World Government.
All Bounties are updated annually with the new amounts. Citizens receive bounty posters which come with a picture of the target and money they are worth. Finding these passed around town will raise the crews or the single persons notoriety.
