Brief Overview of the Tyrannical Uprising
Tue Jan 26, 2010 4:50 pm
For many years, the kingdom of Glovania has been led by the great and merciful leader, King Leo II. King Leo made treaties that seemed impossible, ended the depression that Glovania was previously in, and lent his ear to the people whenever they needed help. However, one day the King died in his sleep from an unknown illness, leaving the throne empty.
Because King Leo never married and was a single child, no one could fill the throne through the royal bloodline. Thus, the steward of Glovania, Simon Velmore, was appointed as the replacement as the King of Glovania by the Great Council. Everyone assumed it was the best choice, and once they gave the word and signed the papers for Simon to be appointed as King, there was no turning back.
The people thought that Simon would be a great choice. He was, in fact, the steward, and is the most qualified for the job. They were wrong. Though Simon had shown a calm and cool attitude while he was a steward, everything changed as soon as he took a seat of the King's throne. He gave out strange and cruel orders to everyone and would deny peasant's of any charity. But that was only the beginning of the chaos.
After a while, Simon began to gather the royal army once again and ordered to assault the kingdoms adjacent to Glovania, breaking the treaties they had made recently. The military officers questioned Simon's judgement, but were threatened to be beheaded if they did not obey him. Thus began the horrid conquest of Glovania. The army slew entire villages of people and did unspeakable things to the ones who survived. Soon enough, Glovania had entire control and no one could do anything about it.
Then, as if to answer the peasant's dire call for help, a man named Ian Kingsley came out, as if from nowhere, and started a rebellion against the evil King. He recruited many people and peasants that would be willing to fight for their freedom. After a while, he established a base of operations for his rebellion in the Griswald Woods, a forest that used to be a shortcut for Glovanian caravans.
This begins our story, where we, the rebellious will fight against the cruel King and topple his kingdom of fear and pain. Will the rebellious succeed? Only you, the players, will decide.
