[OOC] Datestamps

Greetings, my minions subjects fellow players!

I've begun to notice that, as of late, most of you don't seem to be dating much of what you're doing. We should probably start using datestamps--for instance, the Capuans plan to attack Solaris on 30 June.

If we don't use datestamps, time becomes relative and weird, weird things start happening. I'd rather avoid the debates that will doubtless result, so I'd like to ask that all players start using date stamps and giving actions reasonable dates and reasonable times of completion.

Just a warning (and me being anal retentive). Don't mean to call anyone out, just suggesting we reform ourselves a bit.

And indeed, I both wholeheartedly agree with and support this request. Partly because I've been sick of others not paying attention to datestamps in other natpols I've been involved with and partly because there's a lot of players (myself included) in this one that don't bother using datestamps for -all- of their activities, and partly for laziness, I've just been using relative time rather than absolute time in most of my posts. But if everyone else agrees to do the same, I'll definitely start doing it properly herein.

I have noticed the very same as Red, and as with you three above me, I definitely agree to their usage. I've tried to use them as much as I can in my posts on EC - might have missed a few, but I know my most recent date should definitely be around... June 20th, 1571 I think.

So, guys. This could either be taken as good or bad depending on who you are and your relation to Kyokai - but I have been reading The Art of War by Sun Tzu, and I finished the original text. He is now a hero of mine lol. Anyway, I will be following his example and now have some extremely devious battle strategies that I cannot wait to employ in battle!!

And yeah, I've read Sun Tzu's work before too - Definitely some pretty interesting stuff there. Had actually planned to use a few quotes from his works at various points but haven't yet had ample opportunity. There's one quote in particular that I'm very fond of.. Perhaps I could have my IC character that we've been discussing via PM use it? Lol.

Just wanted to check in a bit, considering EC has been put on hold due to Red's untimely absence from a computer. I hope everyone's doing well, and please continue to check here for an update - I have a feeling it won't be too much longer and we can continue this. lol
