Gender: Male

Personality: Yoshiro is normally quite kind, however quiet among those whom he may not know. He is not shy, however is laid back and down-to-earth. He can serve as the voice of wisdom in many cases, due to his extensive experience in Shinigami affairs and in battle. In war, Yoshiro is a fierce warrior that should be very much hindered as he is at a high Captain's level when it comes to power and cunning. Yoshiro serves as a shrewd tactician, however views his subordinates as his family - thus he is extremely loyal to the point that he would put his life on the line to save a friend.

Appearance: Yoshiro has deep emerald eyes that are said to be able to pierce one's very soul. He is tanned, muscular however lean, and bears several battle scars - the most significant being over the right side of his face from forehead down to his chin and over his right eye. He was lucky not to lose his sight in that eye. His hair is a dark jet black and is usually tied into a high ponytail with a long white cloth. Yoshiro is tall around 6'1''.

As for clothing, Yoshiro wears a more customized form of the Captain's uniform. He wears the standard Shihakusho (Gard of the dead) which is a black kimono and hakama (flowing pants). Alongside the white cloth he uses to tie up his hair, he has a long white obi sash as a belt that usually has his zanpakuto strapped to. Upon his feet, Yoshiro wears the standard tabi socks and straw sandals. Over his Shihakusho, Yoshiro wears the Captain's haori jacket, a long white flowing jacket that bears the Kanji for "5" as it is his Division's number.

History: Yoshiro was born to a normal, middle classed family in the first District of Rukongai that did lay outside of the Seireitei (Court of Pure Souls - ie; where the Soul Reapers reside). There, he worked with his family at their general stall in the district. Enjoying what normal life he could, Yoshiro, as a child, soon found at one point that he bore great talents within the realm of spiritual power. Being seen one day by a mysterious passing stranger, Yoshiro felt an odd surge of pressure and ended up fainting. The stranger was none other than a passing Shinigami named Jushiro Ukitake - he turns out to be the Captain of the 13th Division.

Finding the boys hidden talents, Jushiro took it upon himself to teach Yoshiro what he knew. For several months, Yoshiro trained and trained to unlock his power, and thus was able to materialize his very own zanpakuto. He became the youngest of any person to do such a thing, and for this was able to become a Shinigami. Going through the Academy, achieving great grades, and honored as a member of the 13th Division himself, he climbed the ranks as the years went on until he became Lieutenant of his Division.

For several hundred years, Yoshiro gained experience however was content with his position. However, when Aizen defected from the Shinigami as a traitor, and hell seemed to break loose within the Seireitei, Yoshiro was called upon by several friends among the Captains, as well as his own comrades in the 13th Division, to take up the mantle of a Captain himself. Succeeding in the Captain's Testing, he took upon the position of 5th Divison Captain with Momo Hinamori as his adjutant (who happened to be a close friend of his anyway). Soon, he earned the loyalty of his division and the respect of everyone else as he gained the highest honor a Shinigami could attain.

Fighting in the Aizen War within Karakura Town (fake), he gained even more renown as he defeated many high ranking Arrancar with relative ease. Fighting the Espada alongside his fellow Captains, he fell wounded like so many others, most notably against Aizen himself, until Ichigo Kurosaki was able to take the fight to the last level. After the war, Yoshiro recovers from his wounds slowly, however remains just as strong to this very day. Of course, he still resides with 5th Division.

Zanpakuto:

Name - Shiroikami (Hybrid form zanpakuto (both physical strength as well as kido)

Release Shikai - Shiroikami (lit trans. "White Wolf")
Shikai Command - "Hyouketsu" (lit tran. "Freeze")

While in Shikai form, the zanpakuto has manifested powers aside from being a stronger version of the original sealed sword. In Shikai, Shiroikami is able to perform what Yoshiro has named - Yon Arashi "The Four Storms" of Shiroikami". Each storm has a given effect against the enemy.

NOTE: The zanpakuto takes upon a more true form than it's sealed katana-like state. Upon releasing into Shikai, the blade forms into more of a scimitar like blade with a curved notch by the end. The guard also changes into a snow-flake like design however the hilt stays the same as well as the chain at the end of the pommel.

Saisho no Arashi: Burizado (First Storm: Blizzard) - This attack created ice spikes to form at the blade's edge which when used within an attack has the power to freeze over cuts and spreads like a fast-acting poison to the enemy.

Dai Ni Arashi: Setsu no Tsunami (Second Storm: Snow Tsunami) - This attack creates an avalanche of snow and ice that can be aimed from the tip of the blade to an enemy.

Dai San Arashi: Kori Sentou (Third Storm: Ice Pinnacles) - This attack creates a spider web of ice-pillars that shot from the ground up saturated with ice spikes.

Dai Yon Arashi: Kori Reikyuu (Forth Storm: Ice Coffin) - This attack essentially creates ice wolfs that tunnel up from the ground below and grabs the enemy by the legs bringing them back under and burying them in a veritable ice coffin beneath the soil.


Release Bankai - Rin-Kokushu Shiroikami (lit trans. Frigid King White Wolf)

NOTE: In Bankai, which is the final and strongest form of a zanpakuto, the sword has two types of effects - Involuntary, and Manifested. Involuntary effects, which means just by having activated Bankai these take place without having Yoshiro forming a command. These effects are a drastically dropped temperature that in effect slows the enemy's speed. Secondly would be the weather above will inevitably become over-cast and snowy in most cases. The ground will also turn to ice. These negative effects do not take hold upon Yoshiro, or anyone he directs his spiritual pressure (reiatsu) away from. Other involuntary effects are a drastic increase in endurance and power to Yoshiro himself, as well as the speed in which he might attack and use Shunpo.

NOTE II: In Bankai, Yoshiro's clothing also takes on some change as well as the appearance of his actual zanpakuto. Appearing after unsealing the sword into its final state, Yoshiro will be wearing a pure white cape/cloak of sorts, as well as an off-white scarf around his neck and lower face. The cloak is tied together by an ornamental brooch with the figure of a snowflake within.

NOTE III: By releasing Bankai, not only the outfit of Yoshiro changes. His blade, yet again, goes through a transformation into its true form. The sword changes from the Shikai's scimitar blade into a sleek katana form, however a bit longer. At the beginning of the blade, a serrated edge is also apparent. The guard takes on the rather radical change into appearing as a silver wolf's head. The blade itself protrudes from the wolf's fanged jaws as if a tongue. The blade itself is such a quality that when seen in the sunlight, a blue glimmer seems to run down the length of the blade.

Manifested powers to Yoshiro's Bankai would be what he named:

Futatsu no Okina Arashi: "The Two Great Storms"

Dai Go Arashi: Kaimetsu (Fifth Storm: Annihilation) - This attack is essentially made up of ultra-quick slashes from Yoshiro's zanpakuto while within an advanced form of the First Storm: Blizzard. These attacks, due to the speed and sheer power of the assault, cannot be blocked unless by one of a similar level or perhaps by a Kido at the levels of 80 or higher.

Dai Roku Arashi: Jitsugen (Sixth Storm: Materialization) - This attack is the ultimate attack of Yoshiro's zanpakuto in which the soul within the sword - Shiroikami - physically materializes in the world as a giant Ice Wolf that fundamentally fires from the end of the blade, becomes whole, and engulfs the enemy and everything around them. This attack cannot be blocked unless by an equal amount of power by another's Bankai.

Powers:

Yoshiro, being a Captain's level Shinigami is quite proficient in several powers available to Shinigami.

He is advanced when concerning the use of spiritual pressure control, as well as the use of Shunpo (Flash Step) which is an extremely fast movement technique (Hakuda) which allows a Shinigami to almost teleport from either short or far distances. It is not only useful for getting to places quickly, but also while in battle for evasion tactics.

Yoshiro is also quite proficient in the use of Kido, having had almost 500 years of experience in most of the spells aside from the Forbidden Techniques that are similarly used by Yamamoto Sou-Taicho (First Division - Grand Captain)
