OOC of the Undead
Thu May 26, 2011 9:36 pm
Yeah, you should all know what OOC means by now being fellow RPers, but just in case you don't: OOC means "Out of Character". I'd like this to be the thread where Hysteria players can post their questions, comments, concerns, and even creative ideas for the game. Never hesitate to ask myself or my AGM, Chef, a question. Prospective players may also pose questions here for their decision on whether to join or not.
Thank you for playing.

I want to make a second character, but I don't think I'll be responsible over him/her, I just don't know, should I make a second character? A sidekick to John Brians?

They don't necessarily have to be related in any way. It is your choice, the more characters the more interactions in the game.

I am waiting on the other supporters to register, but essentially the game will be starting quite soon. Expect it to start by Saturday.

Sorry for the dub post guys.
Desert, the automotive shop, or wherever you might be, would definitely not be at the fourth floor (where we all are).
So, if it is OK, edit your post like this. Say that you stayed on the roof, and could hear people fighting a floor below. So, what you could do, is say that you blocked off the first stairwell with the desks and whatever but you left the other open - perhaps as a last ditch escape way. When you peek in and see us fighting, you could have beckoned us onto the roof, thus being able to join the team. lol

Desert, I have one more bone to pick here with you - and actually, this goes to any other player out there:
Please, please, please check your grammar and spelling after or before posting. Depending on the person, it is quite annoying to see them, and depending on how bad some may be - it is tough to decipher what you post.
Honest to god, I'm not trying to come off rude or anything, I'm just speaking my mind.
And secondly, this goes specifically to you Desert - try not to create dialogue for another players character(s). Also, when another character speaks, try not to place it like what one might see in a play - ie: placing their name before their dialogue. Try to write it as if you were writing a story - after all, that's essentially what we are aiming for here.
If there are any questions, you know what to do.

I know what you mean. I usually always end up making some mistakes here and there when I'm overtired or haven't slept in a while. lol

True. But today I was sparing a new person and lets just say he got me below the belt. Now I have ice bags on my lap.

As fellow GM, I feel I need to address a few issues. They aren't game threatening issues, but could evolve into them, so I want to make sure everyone is aware of them.
This game is running great, first of all. I don't want anyone to think that I'm saying we're doing badly, because we aren't. I think this is one of the best starts in an RP we've seen on LS.
However, there are a few problems arising as we are starting to move into the city. First of all, we kind of moved on to John's without Bleach's permission, causing him to change plans and such. I want the players to make sure they know that this game is being narrated and led by Bleach. This is linear, not freeform, so the GM's are the people who move the plot along. As such, I ask you to please let us handle that part of the game. If you have ideas for how to move along, or want to post it out yourself, ask us first.
Next, this one's more directed at your most recent post, Dante. In it, you made up rather specific information about John's father. If you already discussed this with him, that's fine, but if you didn't, then I think you should edit your post. You don't know what John has planned with him, and he might even have a backstory for him already. Ask the players before you decide to make up something rather important about their characters that cannot already be assumed.
This last thing is just a reminder, really. I want to make sure all the players realize our situation. We are teenagers, all with no clue what's going on, trying to survive. We literally have no idea what could be happening right now, as we haven't even witnessed a news program on it or anything.
Again, I'm not saying anyone's being a terrible player or anything, I just wanted to point out a few things that you should all make of note. This isn't targeted at a specific person, this is something all of us (yes, even I) should take note to.
