The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

So, I'm a bit surprised that no one else had a top for this already. Anywho let's get to it.

So, late last year before 2011 obviously started, the announcement was made on the Video Game Awards, confirming all TES fans hopes for a next game.
Yes, the fifth game takes place in the Nordic lands of Skyrim high to the north of Cyrodiil. Events within the game transpire AFTER the storyline of TES IV: Oblivion. Fans will be happy to know that Bethesda is using the very same system of mechanics that they have used for their other latest game "Fallout New Vegas". From the latest video, which will be shown from IGN, the graphics look VERY solid in my own opinion.
Also, thanks to Cheeky Hobbit, over at MEC, I have been able to procure a few interesting links that will give you all some incite as to the games progress.

As for the game's release date, it is sometime this year, probably the during the fall.

I have so much happy that this game is coming out on November 11 (or so I heard), especially since I have reserved a copy for PS3 at GameStop.
The sad part, however, is that my PS3's hard drive got owned by 6 Gigs of music the other day... Now it is corrupted and I can't run ANYTHING on it; it requires repairs, repairs require money, I require MORE money. Story of my life... XD

I've been following Skyrim for a pretty long while now. I can safely say it will likely be amazing.
I fully intend on wasting my life away in front of that game - I don't even care about the horrendous hours that I will undoubtedly spend slaying dragons and shiz. XD

Amen to that! I am TOTALLY going to destroy my PS3 from playing it too much... Oblivion's release is what triggered the near-death coma of my Xbox360. XD

Thought that since the game has finally been released, that necroing this thread might be called for. XD
Who's played the game so far? Your thoughts?

Perfect time to necrobump this thread to life.
Skyrim is amazing, nuff said. I'm likely getting it for my birthday in two days.. considering it's the only thing I actually asked for. XD Anyway, my roommate got it for PS3, and I watched him play it the night we bought it. It's the only game I have ever saw that could break all my expectations by being even better than my high expectations already were looking for.
It's like.. what God would play, if he had a video game system.

I am pretty much convinced that Skyrim is the only game that has ever been worth its full retail price. There is so much shit to do that it's mind boggling.
