Background: William Knight grew up in a wealthy family and received a good education. However, he always had felt a strong contempt for the DNA-based system his society revolved around. He started practicing medicine in Hesperis Moenia, but eventually disappeared from DNA superior society, starting a clinic in Mountainside Heights in order to help people he felt truly needed it. He eventually became aware of the Circle of the Pulse, a group he was told sought to end the system he so despised, and sought the Circle out to join in their fight.
